SYNOPSIS: Full-length one-act. Jane is a political person and also a bit of a crank. What happens to her relationship with the math-loving cab driver she marries? Through the course of a year, we follow their fraught relationship.
Martha Patterson is a playwright, essayist, fiction author, and poet. She has written more than 150 long & short plays, and has been published in anthologies by Pioneer Drama Service, Smith & Kraus / Applause Theatre & Cinema Books, the Sheepshead Review, The Pointed Circle Journal, the Afro-Hispanic Review, In Case of Emergency Press, and Silver Birch Press. Her work has been produced Off-Off-Broadway (Harold Clurman Theatre and Creative Place Theatre) and in 20 states. She has been produced overseas in England (Bread & Roses Theatre, London; Green Curtain Theatre, London), Scotland (Quids in Theatre), France (It's Not a Box Prods.' "Overhear Paris" event), Denmark (The Belarusian Dream Theatre), Korea (Seoul Players), Australia (Short+Sweet Festival, Sydney), and Canada (She Speaks Festival / Flush Ink). She earned her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and an M.A. from Emerson College, both degrees in Theatre.
