Horror play A DOLL'S LIFE to be presented in NYC, Fall 2014

My short horror play “A Doll's Life” will be presented by Thespian Production/Piney Fork Press at Joria Mainstage Theater, 260 W. 36th St., New York City. This is part of a Halloween festival to be performed on October 16 and 18 at 8pm, or on October 17 at 8pm and on October 18 at 3pm, Thursday thru Saturday.

SYNOPSIS:  A little girl thinks her doll is messing with her, but her father doesn't believe her.

Reading of THE LOVE SEAT at Clan Na Gael, Connecticut, late October

THE LOVE SEAT, my one-act romantic comedy running about 35 minutes long, will be presented as a reading at Clan Na Gael (an Irish arts center in Stratford, Connecticut) on Sunday, Oct. 26th, 2014, at 4:00pm. Two other one-acts will also be presented.

SYNOPSIS: In three vignettes revolving around a love seat, we find out why Toni keeps turning men down; but is the third man the charm?

MY "GATSBY" FIXATION, a short essay, to be published by Silver Birch Press in 2015

My short essay, MY "GATSBY" FIXATION, will be published in an anthology commemorating the 90th anniversary of the publication of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel THE GREAT GATSBY, in April 2015, by Silver Birch Press in California.

Fitzgerald's novel had an influence on my teenage ideas of romance and taste in clothes.  This essay, under 1000 words, is an account of that influence.

My short children's play THE HORSE, THE RABBIT, THE FOX, & THE ROOSTER will be performed June 30-July 1-2 in Williston, North Dakota by Youth Education on Stage. Co-producer Jack Dyville.

SYNOPSIS:  Horsey the Horse defends Itty Bitty Rabbit and Chanticleer the Rooster from Foxy the Fox.

 It will be "a Revolutionary Theatre preview piece"  and will be performed twice on the evening of May 2nd, 2014.

AFTER THE DISSOLUTION, a play about Belarusians, to be produced by Image Theater, Lowell, Mass.

My short quasi-political drama After the Dissolution has been selected as one of seven short plays to be produced by Image Theater for their Fem Noire event (women playwrights only) on March 28th and 29th, 2014 at The Whistler House Museum in Lowell, Massachusetts.  Founder Jerry Bisantz will be directing the play.

A short essay about my mother, VICKI, A MEMOIR, was published in The Sheepshead Review Journal of Arts & Literature by University of Wisconsin in December 2013.
